this is in reference to the original problem described in http://root.cern.ch/phpBB2/viewtopi.... RubyRoot needs to find out whether to pass by pointer or reference. This used to work in an earlier version of CINT (in 5.10 it worked for example). The attached patch tries to solve this by going through all combinations.
